"Lisa is the most genuine, honest and incredible shih tzu breeder! Her knowledge and love for the breed is second to none! My 14 year old sweet Lexie passed jn May of 2023 and it took me a few months for my heart to heal. During my grief, I was constantly researching for a new shih tzu baby and I even messaged Lisa as to if I decided to bring a new baby home, as to what I was looking for. She was very caring and empathetic to my journey and assured me that if and when I was ready, she would be there for me! Well...then her November 2023 puppies were born and when I first laid eyes on her Christmas Angel..now Zoey! I was smittened and knew she had to be my new baby! Unfortunately, before I could get to meet "Angel" she was already spoken for...another heartbreak! Do you believe in God's plan? I do, because a few days later, while my husband and I were on an mini vacation to Tennessee, Lisa called me and told me that "Angel" was available again..due to a sad and unfortunate occurance with the other family! They would have to postpone getting a new puppy for a few months! We immediately set up a meet...I wasn't going to let her get away..no way! Love love at first sight! She is now Zoey and has been in ours for 4 weeks...doing great..growing so fast and is 4.3 pounds! She is very smart and very sassy! "We picked up Shadow from Lisa Sunday, August 20th, after he was in Lisa's loving care for eight and a half weeks. Shadow is a beautiful little Shih Tzu who is now part of our home. "Our experience with Lisa and Southern Charm Shih Tzu's was so easy. We picked out Dixie when she was only 2 weeks old after the loss of our senior Shih Tzu. Lisa sent us weekly videos and updates about Dixie. Dixie was pad and crate trained when we picked her up (the crate didn’t last long though). Dixie is a liver (chocolate/white color) with gold eyes. I have received so many compliments on her color and the fact her color is unique. "Thank you Lisa for my puppy Sadie who is now Nearly 5 yrs old. Sadie is a small Shih Tzu weighing 8 lbs. Which is the adult size I had hoped for. But truly that's not the key point. "After my two beloved Shih Tzu girls passed within 11 months of each other in 2019, there was a void in my heart. I occasionally would get puppy fever and do a search to see if there were any Shih Tzus available in my area. One of those searches landed me on the Instagram page for Southern Charm Shih Tzus. I read Lisa’s amazing reviews and followed her and her puppies for well over a year until one day I inquired about one. I initially was interested in a little girl on deposit, but Lisa sent me some other girls looking for their furever home. One of them was Clarice (now Bonham) and I immediately fell in love with her coloring and big eyes. Living in Colorado and Lisa being in Georgia, I wasn’t sure how we would be able to get the pup to CO especially with Christmas in a few weeks. Lisa recommended an amazing flight nanny service to work with and it all came together. From my first conversation with Lisa, I could tell she loves what she does and truly cares about her babies. Bonham has the best personality and came to us fully pee pad trained. She is so unbelievably smart and we cannot imagine life without her. "Lisa was wonderful to work with in our purchase of our new puppy, Frasier. I think the time she spends with her puppies during those initial weeks is an added bonus. Our puppy was crate trained and seems to enjoy his own private domain when he can retreat to his crate. We previously had 2 Shih Tzus that we loved dearly, but never could get them to adjust to a crate. Frasier slept through his first night and has every night since. He adapted immediately with his new family. I think these great attributes are a result of Lisa’s work with her puppies during those first formative weeks. Our experience with Southern Charm has been absolutely amazing. It is evident that Lisa cares deeply for every one of the babies she raises. Our little girl came to us pee pad trained and slept through the night from the beginning. She is also incredibly sweet, full of personality and listens better than any puppy we have had. This is an excellent breeder! 5 out of 5. It was obvious that my puppy had been well cared for and was loved by the breeder. She followed up with me even late at night! She is completely honest, responds quickly, and extremely personal. She will even meet virtually to show you a puppy! My little Bella checked out great at the vet! We got our first Shih tzu, Benny, 2 years ago from Lisa and just adopted a puppy from her. The love and care she gives these dogs, preparing them for their forever home, is the best of the best. "Max and Milo have filled our hearts and our home with so much love. Well, from the first pictures and FaceTime video chats with Lisa, our hearts fell fast for not just one, but two pups. "When our beloved Sharona past in 2020, little did we know how much of a life changing experience it would be. Sadness became a lengthy journey that took us thru a vet in California to Athens Ga. to finally Niceville, Fl. My niece, a vet, told me to look in the AKC registry and we found Lisa's place. I told her what we were looking for but, there were a lot of things my wife and I had to get thru first. That was the first thing that impressed me about her was she kept in touch and was not pushy. We were so impressed with all her babies and then one Friday, she called and sent us a picture and we realizid that was her. Teacup, female, and opposite color so she could grow up to be herself. From there, she kept us up to date with her health and attitude and of course pictures. We were also very fortunate her husband, the chauffeur, was able to deliver her to us at the exact time that worked for us. Scarlett, now Alexa, was even more beautiful in real life than in her pictures. My wife and I raised national winning Himalayan cats and how they were raised was part of their personality. Alexa has an unreal personality even at this young age, which says a lot. And then all the effort she goes thru to ensure their health now and later again lends to her devotion to her babies.
